So much has changed in our world in the last decade. With respect to Real Estate we have seen some drastic ups and down in pricing. Home size has greatly increased. Last year I helped a couple purchase a 5000 sq ft. home. When I was first married we thought we bought a mansion when we purchased our second home it was 2100 sq. ft.
So where does one start in todays Real Estate Market? Take the time to write out your master plan. If it is too overwhelming try starting with the next five years. Where do you want to be in life in Five years. For example if you want to own your own home or your own business or perhaps have children. Put it all in your master plan. Then ask the questions. What do I need to accomplish in the next 3 months, 6 months and year to make it happen.
What will be involved? Do you need to save money, put together a business plan, put together an investor group, get a second job? As you get the big picture sketched out you will get clearer what kind of home you are looking to purchase. If you are starting a business, your first home could also be your business home. A development near us is building shop homes. You would live on the second floor and your shop would be on the first floor.
Maybe growing your family is first priority. There are some great master planned communties with pools, playgrounds, and schools all in the same community.
Your home will reflect the way you live life if you look to buy based on your master life plan. It will also be much easier to find once you know exactly what you are looking for in a Home.
