The winery is in a Mediterranean style setting with verandas and patios overlooking the vineyard and picnic grounds. The main event room can accommodate up to 250 guests. They have an in-house caterer with menu options from gourmet to comfort foods. The center courtyard is adorned with fountains.  Similar to other wineries there is a gift shop with unique items. You can also tour the 10,000 sq ft underground production area and cave. They produce three tiers of wine and are one of the many businesses in Stafford County that are fun to patronize.


Potomac Point Winery is located on the historic Widewater Peninsula in the northern tip of Stafford County, Virginia at 275 Decatur Rd. From I-95, take exit 148, proceed to ramp leading to Route 1-southbound; go approximately 1 mile to the light and turn left onto Telegraph rd.; go 3/10th's of a mile and turn left onto Widewater rd.; travel 2.8 miles and turn right onto Decatur rd. (crab shack); go 1 mile to Winery on the left at 275 Decatur Road

Karen, Potomac Point sounds like a really unique winery.  I love all these little winery's that are available.  I'm assuming with Potomac in the name it is also probably in a historic spot.  I love all the history you have in your area.

Marchel,  We are in the "history business" in Northern Virginia.  About the only significance at the winery is that is close to the Potomac River, but it works for them.  A fellow Rotarian owns the catering business that supports the winery -  that probably explains our affinity to it, Karen
