I learned many decades ago to always take water with me wherever I go, even if I think it’s just going to be a 10-minute car trip down the freeway.

Water, Water Everywhere... So Please Make Sure You're Drinking Plenty of it!

Weather Map

You don't have to consult a map to know it's hot out there... in fact South Florida is cooler than some of our neighbors to the north.

Temps have been in the high 90's with heat indexes that are in the 100's.

You'd like to stay inside and work on your Blog here at ActiveRain or trying to figure out this new Google+, but... oh yes.. there's that pesky day job.

Realtors and Home Inspectors, cannot avoid being outside, even if part of that time might be spent in the car.

But all of us, whether we're working or spending time at home, you need to be drinking plenty of water and be aware of the signs of dehydration.

And, yes, while Coffee is a liquid, caffeine can actually cause you to lose fluids.  As mom always told us, it's important to get in your 8 glasses a day!  Take note of the warning signs of dehydration, and be especially mindful of them in young children and the elderly.

Note these signs of dehydration-

1. Nausea or vomitingGlass of Water
2. Dry mouth
3. Muscle cramps
4. Lightheadedness

It's also been said that a good indicator of dehydration is the color of your urine- if it's dark yellow or amber... you're already dehydrated.

Remember- Drink lots of water
Be aware of the signs of dehydration
Keep an eye out for the elderly and young children.
