I Accept Short Sale Referrals - Springfield Mo Short Sales

This week I was approached by another real estate agent I've known for years to take over one of her listings. It started out as a regular sale, but as time went on, the sellers transferred and now are in a situation to short sale their home.
When asked if I do referrals on short sales, I responded: Of course I do! They are no different than any other referral.
Yes, short sales are more time consuming, but the rewards are just as great. The seller is saved from years of bad credit due to foreclosure and the market doesn't get another foreclosure that may sit for months without care.
Knowing that the other agent hadn't completed many short sales, we dived in, taking new photos, reworking the existing listing, lowering the price $25,000, contacting the banks to let them know I'm now working in place of the other agent, adding the listing to all our websites. We've already had several inquiries and showings.
Kudos to the other agent for knowing they may not get the job done in time. So many agents try to work short sales and know nothing about the process. As realtors, helping distressed sellers move their property is our main priority.
