100 years ago, I was a young Soldier in the United States Army. My first duty station was with A Company, 326 Medical Battalion, FT Campbell, KY. Home of the 101st Screaming Eagles, Air Assault! I was stationed there when I was 18, (when I knew everything) and left for more education and more Army experiences when I was 20 years old, (I still knew everything). In a very true sense of the word, these people helped to start my "growing up". My first Company Commander, at the time a CPT and now a retired COL (Colonel) was one of the best Commanders I had the great pleasure of serving under.
Now, a few years past 20 (just a few now) and realizing that I know nothing, I had the distinct pleasure of attending a 22 year or so reunion with some very special people who started off my career in the Army this past weekend. With it brought a lot of terrific memories that I had forgotten about and reforged friendships from people I haven't seen in a very long time. I also got to share that time with my daughter and was thrilled when they all offered stories for her just in case she needed to get out of trouble :)! It just goes to prove an
