August 2011 Central Texas Events

July 2011 is coming to a close with kiddos going back to school in a little over a month here in Austin! There still is plenty of summer time fun to take in all that Central Texas has to offer.

There is no reason to complain about a lack of things to do! Check out Austin City Limits Live with "Chicago" or "Peter Pan" at the Scottish Rite Children's Theater and don't forget the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus at the Frank Erwin Center. Austin's Fashion Week will have a large attendance as well as the Fall Home & Garden Show. Be sure and put the 7th Annual Bat Fest on your calendar on August 27th at the Congress Avenue Bridge! There is something for everyone!

Great events and keeping the kiddos in good clean fun is always the goal .. also fun and educational on top of all. Love the theater and hope that this wonderful art form keeps up its audience. Unfortunately with all the 3D movies and tech effects, video games, etc. a simple acted performance just is not as sought after as in the past. Wow .. just one more month until school starts.
