Do they really get mad?? ...Really?

I heard something the other day that was sort of surprising.  One of my fellow agents said that she spoke to her broker about door hangers and he said he didn't like them.  He did not recommend them.  He said that his reasoning was because some homeowners get upset if you come by and leave something on their door.

The reason is because if they are not home and you leave the door hanger on the door and say they are on vacation.  After a few days of being gone and having a couple three come by and put a door hanger on their door is a good way to get their home broken into.  Thieves will know that there is no one home.  It is just as bad as having newspapers out front with no one picking them up.
