SEO is Always Changing - Are You Changing With It?
Google is constantly updating the way they measure sites, pages and articles. We cannot just gather fluffy back links and let that be enough. We cannot stuff our sites with thousands of keywords so that we get found for that keyword. We cannot load up our pages with content that no one really wants to read for the sake of having content.
Anytime an SEO black hatter comes along and tries to outsmart the system, Google devises a way to stay ahead of the game and give the people exactly what they want. They are a search engine. We want to go to Google and type in what we want and get it. Why do you think Bing's logo was "What has search engine overload done to us?"
We are bombarded by advertisements everywhere and we have to push through the garbage to get what we really want. Google wants you to have it. The goal for us as marketers is how to get relevant information into the hands of those that really want it.
What are you looking for? What would your client be searching for? You have to think like your client. Don't give them boring reports and hoopla. Give them what they came here to find. Why would YOU hire YOU?
With the integration of Google's newest algorithm this July, they are looking into these questions when determining the value of pages, blogs, articles and sites. Are you measuring up?
- Can I use this information in my business or my life?
- Would I trust this person with my finances or buy something from them?
- Am I generally interested in this person's expertise and knowledge
- Do I want to know more from them?
- Would I share this information with someone else?
If you are not meeting these standards for optimized blogs you may get lost in the shuffle.
