For a social media layman like myself, QR sounds more like a medical terminology than anything else.

Wikipedia defines a QR Code as follows:

A QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response code) is a specific matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code) that is readable by dedicated QR barcode readers and camera telephones. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded may be text, URL, or other data. source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QR_Code.

The following video is easy to follow, short and provides a BASIC application for QR Codes.

How to use a QR Reader from Shannon S. on Vimeo.

Following the video, I downloaded the QR Droid app to my Droid and took a picture of my QR code that generated when I created my InfoStripe site at http://infostripe.com/homenetyouteam, and I took a picture ofthe QR code, and was taken to my InfoStripe (Free at http://infostripe.com).

Shazaam, the QR Code world revealed.

Fred and Catherine, thanks for the comments. I think QR codes are a pretty neat concept. I am looking forward to learning more about how everyone is using them.

Thanks Fred.  I believe QRs codes are becoming more mainstream and are something realtors really need to use in their marketing to stay ahead of the pack!

Thanks Stephanie and Sherri.  I am glad it helps to break the ice on QR codes. I am lovin' it now. I am so glad that I took the few minutes to get the process started. Now I can see the potential first hand. I already started using my QR code in an email piece that I send out to buyer prospects. So many people are using the smartphones now, and that market will continue to grow dramatically. The customer can scan the QR code with their phone, which links them to my InfoStripe where they can access a mobile home search site. Furthermore, they can link to all my other social media. Thanks for your comments.
