12 Comments on Tualatin WES Trimet Station, answer to Where is it Wednesday...somewhere in Tualatin, Oregon 7/20/11
That's from the Dr. Seuss book, isn't it? I always wondered about the correct pronunciation (no kidding) and it turns out I've had it right all along.
Hi Cindy,
Alright, alright...that is the artwork of Frank Boyden and Brad Rude, "The Interactivators", and can be found at the WES TriMet commuter station in Tualatin. The instructions for the artwof design given by the TriMet Commuter Rail Art Advisory Committee was "don't bore us", and it sure looks like they didn't disappoint! Thanks for the fun, Cindy!
HI Cindy, Love thos heads they are so cool, really neat way of "heads on Art" concept, right on...
Cindy, I always love your "Where Is It Wednesday" series...even though I've never been able to guess them! :)
Hi Jill, "Oh the places you will go" is a great Dr. Seuss Book and one that all children should have in their home library. Of course you were right!
Hi John, You are good my friend! You even found out more about the artwork than I knew..LOL. This week was exactly why I love doing this. I've never been on the station platform before and my thought for WIIW was for the train station as I thought it would be a cool picture. When I got up there and noticed this piece of artwork, I learned just one more piece of information about my community. That's one of the reasons I'm having so much fun doing this!
Hi Peter and Linda, It is a very funky piece of artwork for a train station right? Our City is just full of art all over the place!
Hi Leilani, Thanks so much! If you ever get to the Portland area, at least you'll know a few places :) As I mentioned to John, I learned something new this week as well about my community..not a bad thing at all.
Cindy--I'm floored as to how John does it! Tualatin isn't exactly a Mecca! I sure love the artistic photo of the faces...very cool. Portland is such a cool city!
Hi Cindy,
This was a great WIIW this week. I almost admitted I was stumped!
Hi Gayle, I know right? We are very lucky to be living where we do. Your a bit out, but still close enough to all. Tualatin is just 20 minutes to downtown, so not a bad drive as well.
John..Ha..you are too good to be stumped!
