How To Maximize Your Prezi.com Presentations - "The Secret Recipe"

A couple months ago I mentioned a site called Prezi.com and shared a post on Activerain called Prezi Presentations - Take Your Powerpoints to the Next Level.  Though that post didn't receive many comments or reblogs, I still believe in their product and feel strongly that with some creative thought and application, this could be a very useful tool.

I wanted to share a concept and a vision that I was able to fulfill by using the following sites and tools. It's my "Secret Prezi Recipe" and I've been thinking about trying this out for quite some time now.  I'm almost certain this hasn't been done before, at least not using these sites, tools, and the steps I'm about to share.

All presentations start with an idea, some content, a topic and a point, or a concept with vision and a purpose.  This can be applied to anything you want to share or present.  Naturally, I decided to use my own company as a sample to demonstrate how this could be used and applied to a presentation.  I scribbled out a few thoughts and ideas on Prezi.com, then added some font titles, some screen images, a couple videos etc. and the journey was under way.

THE SECRET PREZI RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS and INGREDIENTS :

• Use your company, products, tools, service, or experience etc. to create message
• Create your entire presentation using PREZI and the FREE tools they provide
  
• Use Screenflow, Screenr.com, or any Screencast software to capture and record PREZI
• Import your screencast of PREZI into iMovie or Movie Maker etc for music and editing
• Upload your final PREZI presentation to Youtube or yor favorite video hosting site.

The final result will be something unique, one-of-a-kind, and special because you made it. A presentation to be enjoyed and shared with others for years to come.  Now, I could have just created a PREZI demo and embedded it here for you all to watch quietly... but I think most of you will agree that the additional steps taken and secret ingredients added helped bring a simple PREZI to life and make it a much more "lively" presentation.

There's no reason YOU can't create a really cool or totally amazing presentation about your area, your company, you or your services or products etc.  Just jump on over to Prezi and begin YOUR journey.  Even if you wait a week, a month, or even a year, just knowing there are tools like this out there and available for free is reassuring and will come in really handy when it comes time to put together your next presentation.
