Dear Phone, 

Why are you mad at me? What did I do wrong? Did I not give you enough attention? You know you never leave my side … I constantly hold you in my hand (sometimes even when I am driving). You’re the first thing I look for in the morning and you go everywhere with me, on appointments, out to dinner, to concerts, everywhere. Even then, you are a part of whatever I am doing. Remember that beautiful fireworks display we shared? I held you up above the crowd so you could see and capture the moment, so we could relive it and show our friends. Oh yeah, remember that listing appointment we were on? When you showed the homeowner those great slides about the real estate market, and how you helped them understand their situation. Without you, I am sure they would have made a bad decision. Then, after the closing on their home, you captured the moment on video - how happy they were, and how they could not have done it without us! 

I am always concerned about your condition; I keep you clean and make sure you never get lost or wet. I stroke you lovingly multiple times a day … and sometimes during the day I give you energy and a short rest. And when I have been forgetful and can’t find you, don’t I call you over and over until you answer and we are reunited? I know we haven’t been together that long, but how can I explain how much you have become a big part of my life … sometimes, even my husband gets jealous of how much time and attention I give to you.  

So, please, tell me my friend … Why won’t you talk to me?? Why won’t you show me my emails??!! Why won’t you let me Google an important question???!!  

Okay, let’s make a deal … I promise to you, my smart phone, to always take care of you … and from you, I need you to work!! Don’t make me trade you in for the newest model, cause that new 4G phone has been flirting with me, and you know I’m a sucker for the newest technology. Okay, Deal!

Thanks for the humor, Joanne!   We all are suckes for the new technology and how can we work it to our marketing advantage.  Although, I do have to admit, I really believe that my "smart phone" is truly a HALF-WIT at times!!

Oh, I love my smart phone. I just picked up the Blackberry Torch after contemplating with my choices for a few weeks. My smart phone also acts as my wireless modem when I'm away from the office and need to access my laptop. It's very smart indeed.
