When more than half the states in the United States is having a heat wave, people are still looking to cool off and Pay-it-Forward. Realtors® find ways to stay cool, pay-it-forward and still keep their business going, despite the weather. People enjoy their summer vacations and as a Texas Realtor® I enjoy Paying-it-Foward by pool and pet sitting so that others can enjoy the "Good Old Summer Time."
Realtors® have flexible schedules, and most, like me, don't mind keeping an eye on the family pool for safety reasons because Realtors® make good neighbors! Realtors® know the value of home investment. Realtors® have resources and knows what to do in most any type of emergency. Realtors® know how to phone a friend and a friend knows how to phone a Realtor®. They both understand that when a home owner is away, on vacation, or because they relocated, the in-ground pool doesn't get to accompany them. Sorry to say it, but the pool stays and that means, there's liability and responsibility.
A good neighbor is one who understands this and trusts the Realtor® with their investment. I'm lucky enough to cool off this summer because I pay-it-forward in the most unusual ways...
Pools need to be operational. I monitor that everything is functioning the way it should so that the home owners don't have to worry.
With scorching hot summers, I make sure the water level is where it should be and I make sure no critters or unwanted guests have a crash pool party. This gives the owners peace of mind so that they can enjoy their vacation.
I find time during my busy work schedule to swim in the pool because the owners want me to enjoy myself and they appreciate what I'm doing for them. In the "Good Old Summer Time," paying-it-forward can be fun and a win-win for all parties!
