I made an Interstate 80 Road Trip on my way to California back in the 90's.   I woke up in a Nebraska Rest Area at dawn (sleeping in the SUV).  And I drove into that Sunrise.

There is nothing more wonderful than hitting a highway at dawn, and driving with little traffic, and a gorgeous sunrise.  I remember my trip back from Utah, on Highway 50.  Gorgeous views, a strait ribbon of road, and very little traffic.  I loved it!

It looks like the last scene in an old western...when the good guy rides off into the amazing sunset! Great picture! And lucky you to have such breathtaking sunsets!

Your photos remind me of a trip I took shortly after I first learned to drive.  My Dad let me borrow a car to drive cross country back to some relatives in New York.  (Yeah, I know -- I don't know that I would permit my children to do the same).  But I remember an early morning driving through the wheat fields of Kansas and pulling off the road to have breakfast, at a diner filled with locals.  It was a great experience.  Have a wonderful Summer!
