What Does It All Mean

What does it all mean?

What does It All Mean?

This is a question I have asked myself many times in many ways, and under many circumstances.  This is a question that can be applied to almost everything, from the gracious beauty of Mother Nature to the close friendships developed in  early childhood, to everlasting relationships of friends in the teen years onto adulthood.

What does it all mean can be applied to the relationships of husband and wife, mother and child, father and child, spiritual relationships and business relationships.  From neighborhood to neighborhood, business place to business place, client to client, business deal to business deal.  From the highest of courts in the land to the lowest courts in the land, from the cities to the country and beyond, from ocean to ocean and in-between.

What does it all mean?

What Does It All Mean

It means something different to everyone and that the answers are found within.  It means to me the small things that make me joyous and make me smile.  It means that we are being watched over and cared for even when our lives may seem bleak or the future is somewhere out there in the cloud of the unknown and we cannot find what we think we are looking for.

What does it all mean when fear takes over and we become stuck in our own belief system that no longer works in the way we need it to.  It means doing our best to reach far beyond our outside shells and digging deep into our souls memory for the answers that will bring us knowledge, peace, light, joy, forgiveness and most of all love.

It is believing in ourselves and accepting who we are and where we might be at this time in our lives, knowing that there is more if we will only stop to listen and hear what we already know inside of ourselves. It means handing all of the fears, doubts, questions and confusion over to a higher power so we may move on in a clear way. To learn what trust really means, and

It means to trust and believe in yourself.

What does it all mean ?  It means you have everything you need inside of yourself to succeed in life and much much more.  That is what it means to me.

Mary, This is such a great question. You are so right that it can be applied to almost any situation.  I truly beleive that the answers are found within, sometimes in the whisper of the angels and sometimes in the beating of a drum!

Accepting who I am and where I am is something I struggle with on a daily basis!  It seems we are hardest on ourselves!  Thanks for sharing your insight!

I love pondering the meaning of life... it's what keeps me grounded and energized.  Strength comes from within... when things suddenly go haywire, you don't have to look very far to find it!  Thanks for your lovely reflective thoughts Mary... a nice way to end a hectic week ;)

So, I'm guessing you are possibly a Sagittarius or a Pisces.  Probably not an Aries or Capricorn.  Yet, you look like you could be a Libra or Taurus!  I have a number of philosophers in my family, and they are all heavy on Sagittarian influences.

Good Morning Karen,

I am so happy you enjoyed the post and that you went to my website and looked at my artwork.  I tried painting with oils when I was 18 or so and taking classes from a professor at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.  I was scared to have anyone look at my art and he was not so kind, enough so that after the class ended I did not pick up a brush for about 20 years.  So much for some professors.  I love watercolors and have not really done anything in acrylics with the exception of some surreal pieces I did for my own home.  They are fun, nothing I would show.  The watercolors I have been doing of late are on canvas and come out looking very much like acrylics or oils especially because I am painting directly from the tube mostly.  A new direction for me for right now.  Thanks again for stopping and commenting.

Good Morning Anna,

I agree with you about finding the joy and happiness that we hold inside of ourselves.  I try to pull it out as much as I am able, sometimes it is not as easy as others, but when I do it is a wondrous thing. Thank you for commenting and stopping by.

Good Morning Bridget,

If we listen quietly enough we can definitely hear the whisperings of Angels and the guidance they give to us.  I also struggle with the meaning of it all, some times more than other times.  It is the nature of one of the reasons we are here, the learning through whatever way we need to learn.  Thank you for stopping by and commenting.

Good Morning Mel,

Strength does come from within and it is always there when we need it.  There is nothing really that we do not already know we just have to find a way to access it.  Thank you so much for commenting, I always enjoys your blogs.  Have a great weekend.

Myrl,

You astound me !  You are right, so right and I get chills as I write this.  I am a Sagittarius (November 28) with a Leo Rising and a Taurus moon.  The only thing that halfway keeps me halfway grounded is the Taurus moon, as that is my emotional side and then with a Leo rising...well, it is quite a horoscope or so I am told.  Thank you so much for commenting.  I still have chills.

Hmmm at Myrl:)   I am a Capricorn and yet feel the same way:)   As for using the watercolours right out of the tube, I never thought of that. I think I might try it. I don't give out compliments lightly and I "do" have an eye for good art!  Thats the Capricorn in me:)

Mary - I am a Taurus with Sagittarius rising.  I often feel earthbound while on an etherial quest. . .LOL

Regarding Karen's comment about being a Capricorn.  Capricorns generally like structure and organization.  They also like to collect things - Coins - Stamps - Stocks, Bonds, etc.  As far as art, they wou,ld do best with harder substances than watercolors.  Perhaps sculpture, pottery, heavy metals. . .LOL

Hi Karen,

I have had the best time with the watercolors from the tube (not so watery LOL), and I only do that on the watercolor canvas, and if you want you can also be very watery on canvas.  It is basically so easy to change things when using the canvas, but you do need a light hand with the brush because the brush can certainly take off color if you do not and if you are trying to layer.  I like both paper and canvas but am in the stage now of preferring canvas. That will change I am sure because I get bored easily and like change.

Karen thank you for commenting again and for the compliments on my artwork.  I hope you have the best week.

Myrl, its good to know you.  Funny how we all connect in different ways, and at different times in our lives.  My oldest daughter is a Taurus, I am not sure what her rising sign is or her moon either.  Her Birthday is May 11, 1965 and she is surely a Taurus in the way of stubborn and stuck, but she always always has a plan and is of the kindest nature, you just cannot fool her.  She too is very earthbound, although has incredible gifts into the heavenly or celestial, and has the ethereal beauty of a Taurus.  Thank you so much for sharing part of yourself.

Mary - If you can tell me your daughter's place and time of birth, I can determine her rising sign.  If you don't wish to post them here, you can email them to me privately.

@Mryl:)

I have a "collection" of just about everything, lol:) Much to my husbands' dismay!!  I also have loads of jewelry making supplies so I guess thats "harder", but my true love is still landscapes in oil. And yes I like structure although I never seem to have it.

@Mary

I have a heavy hand which is probably why  I have not done well with watercolours. I have not been able to paint for awhile for various reasons, but hopefully will get back to it in the fall.

nice to chat with you both:)

Good Morning Debb, I am so glad you read the post.  You are correct it did come from a deeper level and it is all the truth for me.  It is also a pleasure to get to know you, I love reading your posts which are revealing who you are as well.  I have put the Active Rain get-together on my calendar and I think you said you were going so meeting you in person will be a pleasure.  I just got my hair cut shorter yesterday so I look a little different than my photo, but we both know that I am not.

Have a great day.
