The "Concerts on the Green" 2011 Music Series is organized by the WESTHAMPTON CULTURAL CONSORTIUM in cooperation with the Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce with grants from various county, state and arts grants. Concerts on the Green are held every THURSDAY EVENING @7:30 P.M. in July and August through the first week of September. Concerts are Free to the Public and located on the Westhampton Beach Village Green located at Mill Road & Main Street in Westhampton Beach, New York. In the event of rain or bad weather, the show will be held in the Westhampton Beach Schools District Auditorium located at 49 Lilac Road in Westhampton Beach. Signs will be posted on the Village Green by 5:30 P.M.

July 21 "The Ramblers" 7:30 PM
Smooth and palatable as the finest Tennessee sippin' whiskey...their very own distinguishable brand of soul music fused with the sweetest elements of Americana.... The band's strength lays in a gritty, feel-good roots sound that can't fail but to stir the soul and warm the blood. The Ramblers flourish in a live environment, feeding off of the raw, muddy atmosphere and delivering the type of un-shackled music that has stood the test of time.
July 28 "Caroline Doctorow - Folk Music" 7:30 PM
With a soft and mesmerizing voice, Caroline Doctorow of Bridgehampton, has established herself as a leading force on the folk music scene and she gains momentum with each new album she releases. Her voice has been called wondrous and velveteen. Her albums appear regularly on the top of the folk music radio airplay charts. Ms. Doctorow has just appeared at The Guthrie Center & New Bedford Summerfest this season to standing room crowds and rave reviews.
August 4 "Swingtime Big Band" 7:30 PM
Dedicated to the performance of America's greatest popular standards, SWINGTIME BIG BAND is a 20-piece authentic swing band comprised of master interpreters of music from the Swing Era (mid-1930's through early 1950's). Recently described by The New York Times as Musicians who make the sounds of the pre-rock era rock, the ensemble specializes in performing original arrangements of Big Band classics from the Great American Songbook, bringing to life both the style and the spirit of this music for 21st century audiences to experience in living color.
August 11 "Vivien and the Merry Makers" 7:30 PM
Join us for a lively evening of the sounds of the Caribbean as we happily host the local Long Island steel pan band Vivian and the Merrymakers for their annual visit to the Westhampton Beach gazebo concert series … Next stop is the islands this winter if you are lucky enough to get away. Come on down if you love the sounds Reggae & Calypso music and an island twist on some of your old favorites.
August 18 "Meet the Jumpers" 7:30 PM
The Jumpers Orchestra is an 11 piece Rocking and Swinging big band from New York City. Combining the musical styles of swing, jazz, big band and rock, The Jumpers Orchestra performs the American songbook. Most members of the group have toured and recorded nationally, internationally. They will definitely keep you feet tapping. The Jumpers join the magic of song with absolute showmanship leaving the crowds with an earful, eyeful and thoroughly entertained.
August 25 "International Night - Mary Mancini & Mario Tacca" 7:30 PM
Mary Mancini has achieved national and international acclaim for her vocal versatility and command of all styles of music. Her repertoire includes eight languages. Whether performing our National Anthem for the NY Yankees and the Milwaukee Brewers or captivating audiences in concert halls and theaters across the US, Canada, Europe and China, Mary Mancini consistently brings audiences to their feet with her musical interpretations of: international favorites, Broadway tunes, opera, the classics, and pop. Mario Tacca dazzles audiences across the US and around the world with his unmatched virtuosity on the accordion and his exciting interpretations of music supporting Ms. Mancini.
Sept. 1 "Atlantic Wind Symphony" 7:30PM
Formed in 1968, the Atlantic Wind Symphony is the oldest fully professional concert band on Long Island based in Sayvill, New York. The Atlantic Wind Symphony prides itself on using only Long Island musicians. The "Atlantic Winds" has grown and pasted through many phases over the years. Its musicians are outstanding artists whose love of all kinds of music has brought them together to form the finest group of its kind on Long Island. We hope you enjoy !
