Rocketeers Blast Off As Lebanon Hosts NARAM-53 July 22-29 2011
3....2....1....Blastoff!!! Love model rockets? Then you need to come out to National Association of Rocketry Annual Meeting 53 (NARAM-53) at Lebanon Sports Complex (900 McClure Rd, just off US 42 just south of Lebanon) from July 22-29. The event is FREE, and is held daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
We're not talking rinky dink kit models from Toys 'R Us, we're talking big boy toys here! These rockets are capable of 1800 feet in altitude! And these aren't kit rockets either. Hand built, from scratch, precisely assembled and with some SERIOUS juice powering them!
The first three days of the event are exhibition flying and the host suggests these days might be the best for spectators, with potentially 100 rocket launches an hour!
So if you're looking for some FREE entertainment that'll make you feel like a kid again....and who knows, maybe start you down the path to joining these folks? Come out to Lebanon Sports Complex for NARAM-53!
