Gerry, not stupid question... Most of these are year round homes or have the potential to be. They are often used as vacation homes or summer homes as well. Some of the difference is size, insulation and heating source of the home. And of course what the owner wants to use it for.
Chris, It is a beautiful area. The terrain is pretty flat around here. North of here it starts to get a little hilly. I have never been west of the Mississippi River so of course I have never been to California!
