It is a well observed fact that house sales during the spring and summer months are double that of the house sales during the winter and autumn periods. This is a sweet relief for many who have suffered in the hands of the winter draught, but it is also a pretty hectic time where one can find it hard to find time to even scratch their heads!
Below are a few stress relieving tips to keep you sane during this summer period:
Stay Hydrated: You’ve probably heard this a thousand times but with record-breaking summer heats hitting the east coast, we need to constantly ensure we are hydrated enough! As the saying goes a healthy mind needs a healthy body. Make sure you have a water sources surrounding you so that you don’t forget to hydrate yourself while you are running around town!
Take a Mini-Vacation or Staycation! It can be hard on our psychology when it seems everyone is taking summer vacations, when our work is in its busiest season. Not everyone can afford to take the time off to take a holiday for 2 weeks, but you should reserve at least a few days per month to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Even a mini staycation with the family can significantly remove stress and rejuvenate you for another work sprint. For creative ideas check out these Staycation ideas!
Stay connected: Whether it is checking in with colleagues to see how they are doing, or simply letting loved ones know you are OK, Moby’s free REALTOR® safety app can save you precious time during the day. For more information check out our Top 5 Reasons You Should Have Moby On Your Smartphone post
Keep the kids occupied: We are a big advocate of ensuring that children enjoy their childhood summers playing outside! But when the heat hits them too, having a few tech tools to keep them occupied can be heaven-sent! With tablets at very reasonable price, you could buy a family tablet! This will not only keep them occupied during long car journeys, but with hundreds of educational apps out there, it can be a win-win!
Do you find the summers more stressful than winters? If so do you have any summer sanity tips you could share with us?
Take care and be safe everyone!
