12 Comments on Winchester, VA listed as one of the top 5 places to retire!
Being known as a great place to retire means it is safe, affordable, fun and peaceful. That is not a bad segment of the audience to serve in peddling property listings, real estate. The retired income follows them around the planet.
That pretty much sums it up, Andrew. It really is a great place to live. Thanks for commenting!!
Sounds like Winchester is moving in on Asheville and Nashville and Charlotte-I think it's time for my husband and I to get in the car and take a trip! Thanks for this Mike!
Come on down, Joanna. We'd love to have you!!
Well, cold weather kills alot of insects so less insect problems--in Florida we have more insects but lately we have had colder winters to at least get rid of some insects.
Monika, I keep trying to talk the Ms into a move to Flordia, but she hasn't budged yet. 8-) I love the FL beaches, and she loves the VA mountains. Thanks for stopping by!!
A great opportunity for tons of localism...bring it on and the business with it !
So true, S & D. Our little community has come alive in the past couple years. It is kind of a bedroom community for the DC Metro area. There have been lots of folks moving here to escape the Metro traffic and pace. It's a great place to raise kids and to just settle back and enjoy a little peace and quiet. Thanks for stopping by!!
Really good news for the town, but it sounds like you have someone who is great at PR and getting you noticed. Nice work! Some great advertising opportunities for you.
You bet, Mimi. I just finished teaching a cycling class and one of my students reminded me that Winchester was also recently sited as the second friendliest community in the US. Who knew?
Great news for you Mike! Now about that move to Florida...have you taken her to see the Clearwater Beaches? I think she might be swayed, at least for part of the year! These days it's warmer here than a lot of other states.
I haven't, Jeanne, but I'd love to see them. I try to spend a couple weeks in FL every year. Personally, I'd be a snow bird without any question. I'll do a web research to see what Clearwater has to offer!!
