There are critical errors that agents make when building a business plan.  Over the last few days in blogs title 7 Critical Errors Made in Business Planning I have discussed the error in detail, below is error Number 4.

•4)      Omitting Activities from your Business Plan - An 8th grade with a calculator can calculate how many transactions your must close to meet your income goal, but the importance of a Business Plan is to break that income into activities that you will accomplish each and every week.

So often agents get excited about a new year and all the things they plan to do differently and just like the promise to go to the gym these thoughts soon fade away by about President's Day.  A business plan is your marketing plan so one of the items that must be included is a list of the Activities that you plan to do each and every week and or month.  I use "week and or month" because their are certain items that you only do once a month and certain items you do each week.  Below is a sample list:

Geographic Farm Mailing

Just Listed/Sold Cards

House Warming Party (see a previous blog on this one)

Call 5 Past Clients per week

Call 5 Sphere per week

Break/Coffee with one past client per week

Website

Blogging

Open House (2 per month)

Floor Duty (3 per month)

Your list can go on and on ... this should become your weekly Activity TO-DO list which you must mark off each and every week.
