Nor - you must have expensive homes up there! Denver is a great place for 2nd homes. I am currently with quite a few buyers desiring to own a 2nd home here - near the mountains!

Great post, Joan. This is the kind of information renters need to get them into a home instead of throwing rental money out of the window each month. With the price and low interest rates, it really can be less expensive to own than rent and monthly rents are increasing.

Barbara, I met with a buyer last week that was renting, and we talked about their rental payment versus a mortgage payment, the money saved on income tax etc and their bottom line SCREAMED to buy a property!
