How to Drive Traffic to your Website!!
I was inspired to write this blog after reading a great post from my fellow AR associate and Active Rain Ambassador, Tammy Emineth. Tammy recently wrote a post about “Using AR Side Bar Links in your Favor”. After reading her post, I was encouraged to take a another look at my own Side Bar Links on the right side under my name too.
She discusses how to use these Side Bar links with various keywords that link to different pages to your website. Just think of it, we all have a number of pages in our websites, and all we have to do is to be creative with selecting our “keywords”, and link that page back to our websites. I thought that was an excellent idea, and I have been working this weekend on adding more links to give me that extra “Google Juice” to drive more traffic to my own website.
I came up with a few keyword phrases already for my Side Bar links. Just to give you an idea, I choose “Home Buying Information,San Antonio Information, What’s Your Home Value?, or Free Real Estate Reports”. You get the idea. I would suggest a minimum of 20 to 30 links, but my guess is the more you have the more traffic you can drive to your website.
Now, there are numerous other ways to also drive traffic to your websites too. Have your website listed on all your printed and marketing materials, like your business cards, post cards, fliers, listing packets, buyers packets, or anything else that you mail out or send out to your clients, friends, or family members. Don’t forget mobile marking with QR codes to promote your website too. I have seen agents advertise on calendars, magnets, yard signs, magazines, newspapers, and email flyers too. You can also have your website posted on all those Social Media sites too, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+,YouTube, and Plaxo.
Be creative and see how many ways you can come up with to drive more traffic to your website. After all, in addition to your frequent blogging, this will also help you get more Google Juice and put you closer to Page One on Google.
Thanks for these great tips Jerry...I'm certainly going to start on some of them immediately. Also - you really having the Google-thing down to a science - love the way you scroll us into that page from the bottom of your post...

Hi Janet. It doesn't take very long to update your Sidebar Links. Most of them are just different pages to your website. I must of made the Daily Drop, since I didn't think I got featured for this post.
Jerry - thanks for information - having fun with updating everything by using your posts this morning!
Jerry, you have written a post of an idea I thought about earlier this week. It was about challenging yourself to acquire points and move up. The effort is a little worrisome that it hasn't generated anything within the membership. Time is money, and perhaps the expectations are to be put on hold until further notice sort of speak. Time will tell I suppose.
Hi Sue, I am just now catching up on commenting. I hope my post was helpful for you.
Thanks, Wale. I appreciate you stopping by to visit my older posts. Have a Blessed Week!
Yes, Winston. It does take time to do anything right these days. Take one step at a time.
