Some Common Sense From The Los Angeles Times Regarding Real Estate Myths

The media often gets a bad rap for scaring home buyers and villifying the Realtor community.  Prices down, no loans available, be aware of scams.   In today's Los Angeles Times Business/Real Estate section, there is a syndicated article from Lew Sichelman regarding Real Estate Debunking Real Estate Myths.

In my opinion, there is a lot of good common sense discussion for home sellers and home buyers.  He speaks of issues regarding days on market and seller pricing flexibility, stressful selling, the low ball offer, re-negotiating the price after the seller accepts your offer and more.  My favorite:  if you like a property, make an offer.....

Yes, common sense.  Here's a link to the article if you are interested:

Hey Michael.  Back from Vegas and just had to jump in the rain to cool off.  I like your idea:  if you like a property, make an offer.....  Sometimes it's just simple common sense.

Hi Belinda -- as I told someone yesterday at my open house --- if you want to find a seller's motivation, write an offer.  Once they know the level of a buyer's commitment to the home(or lack thereof) the better chance of moving forward.   Welcome back!
