I’m not just a REALTOR®, I’m a Matchmaker! Wouldn’t you agree?

Real Estate Agent with Thompson Company, REALTORS MD594797

Our business is as much about emotions as it is about numbers. I don’t just see myself as a REALTOR® who’s merely showing houses and is assisting you in spending a ton of money! I see myself as someone who is helping you find the perfect match to come home to. My ultimate goal is for you to fall in love, I am not just your REALTOR® I am your Matchmaker!

Our matchmaking business wouldn’t be a successful one if it weren’t for our many partners:

 ·        the stager brings out the best in each ‘prospect’

 ·      the loan officer determines if you are ready
and sets the terms for your commitment

 ·        the inspector uncovers any flaws

 ·        the appraiser makes sure it’s worth it

 ·        and the settlement officer finalizes the union

Your wish-list is really a wanted-ad and our home-tours a compatibility test! I enjoy researching the prospects to find the best possible matches. I pay close attention to your first reaction and question you about your gut-feeling. I listen as you point out the pros and cons and then refine my search for you …

I’m taking you on as many blind-dates as it may take to find the perfect match and I just know when we have met the one:

It’s when I see you smile when you first glimpse the house, when the anticipation of what lies behind the door is written all over your face, when I notice you touching the trim, banister or counter-tops to get a feel, when I hear you talk about what color would suit it best, when you point out the one thing you’ve always wanted but never thought you could have, when you want to look around “just one more time” and when you leave the house with a if-only-I-could-move-right-in sigh!

I always strive to be the best matchmaker I can be. I cultivate relationships with my partners, I refine my skills and adapt to any changes … Because when you are ready to find your perfect match, I would be honored to be the one to help you find it! I can’t wait to see you fall in love!

I’m not just a REALTOR®, I’m a Matchmaker – I hope you agree!

So well stated! I also liked John's (#12) statement.

Nice analogy and so true. It helps if you are interested in Psychology and are good at project management.

Andrea, Matchmaking is risky business, but, very rewarding.  When our Matchmaking stands against the test of time, we are rewarded over and over, and I am not referring to monetary rewards.  Feeling good about what we do to help others, is more valuable than the commission that we earn.  Best wishes always.

Great analogy. And some people really fall in love with a home beyond reason (love is blind?).

Andrea, nice post! I need to put together a match making team of superstars! I love your spin on the topic, I'm going to adopt this idea (hope you don't mind ;-)) to make being a Realtor that much more fun.

Great post! It is sometimes touchy when referring loan officers, title attorneys, inspectors, etc., etc... You always have a small amount of fear that you will end up offending someone that you will eventually have to work with. However, we all seem to have our "favorites"!

I do agree with you and it's a very good analogy.  Being able to bring more to the table than just opening up the door to a house or putting it on the market is what having expertise and market knowledge is all about.

Olga: I like being positive.. isn't it contagious?! Thank you.

Scotti: Yes, you are right.. that's why I rather pass on the info of 3-6 with the remark that these are LOs/inspectors recent clients were happy with

Eileen: Thank you! I appreciate your feedback. It's so much more than "just" a job - it shows when we give it our all and put our hearts into it.

Angela: Thank you for your kind words.

Wandanna: I'll try my best. Thank you very much.

Love the way you wrote your post, it is so true!  Sounds like you are a realtor that loves what you are doing!! It is so fun I have to admit when you find just the right place for the clients to call home...their safe place. Loved the way you added each role in the process of buying a home.

Great job...I would choose you to be on my team any time!!

Good stuff, Andrea.  I think you pretty much nailed it, and we're definitely enhanced by the team you outlined.  Yep, we're like eHarmony of real estate.  Maybe we could call it eHomely.  Nah, that really doesn't sound quite right.  8-)

Shhh, Rosalie, I was hoping nobody would notice that "minor" imperfection about my blog. ;-) I thought about it, too, but just couldn't come up with anything good ...

Mindy: Wow. What a great compliment. Thank you very much.
