Waterfront Homes Delray Beach FL
There are many factors to take into consideration when deciding to live at or near the water in Delray Beach FL. When searching for waterfront homes in Delray Beach, for example, do you know what area you want to live in? We have several areas that offer waterfront living and homes with dockage in Delray Beach.
Do you want to be east or west of the Intracoastal Waterway? Yes, there is a difference! Do you require dockage, or will a dry lot do? Do you have a prefereance for a no-wake zone versus a wake zone? Is walking distance to the beach essential, or are you looking for a boating community? So many things to consider! These photos were taken standing on the Atlantic Avenue Bridge.
Delray Beach offers different areas of waterfront homes for sale. There are the neighborhoods of Seagate, Vista del Mar, Palm Trail, the Historic Marina District, Tropic Isle and Pelican Harbor. Each one of these areas has something special to offer.
The Seagate and Vista del Mar areas in Delray Beach offer waterfront homes as well as dry lots that allow you to walk to the beach. Palm Trail and the Historic Marina District offer beautiful waterfront homes for sale as well as dry lots and are walking distance to trendy Atlantic Avenue, but may be a bit far for a walk to the beach. Tropic Isle is the perfect boating community full of canals but is not walking distance to either Atlantic Avenue or the beach. Same goes for Pelican Harbor; it's a great boating community.
So many choices! You need to know these things when shopping for a waterfront home in Delray Beach.
You need to know your price point. Living on the water has its price points. Living on a canal is less than a direct Intracoastal lot. Living in a no-wake zone is more than a wake zone. The reason for this is that the boats have to maintain a certain speed and are not allowed to gun it through. Living on the ocean is pricey. A lot to think about...
