Moose Monday of another variety!

It's been a while since I have had a Moose Monday picture to post. Moose are sometimes spotted in the wild around Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Occasionally one will wander into town, as was the case about a year ago when a moose wandered through the Riverside Harbor neighborhood in Post Falls.

This moose sighting was a little further to the north. I encountered him on a visit to my nephew's place in Banff, Alberta. Usually, it is not a good idea to approach one this close!

Hi Janna, I have a house in Sandpoint, just below the ski area, and a couple of summers ago I was there doing so work and my tenant told me they had a huge moose in the backyard and their dog was going crazy.

Adrian - Yep, moose do seem to have that effect on dogs!

Ronald - that would be a sight to see, a moose wandering along the freeway!

Endre - Well, you know what they say about men in uniforms, but Mr. Moose and I are just casual acquaintances. Really. REALLY!

Andrea - He is kinda cute, and I took the pic specifically for Moose Monday!

Steve - Sharp observation, fortuntely someone already had him dressed before I came along!

Rob - Pretty sure I wouldn't hve any more luck getting him to swim the Long Bridge with me than I have had with humans!

Sharon - Seeing the real moose in the wild is pretty spectacular, but this sighting was a lot of fun, too!
