The Fairfield New Jersey Public School District will open its doors to students, old and new, on Tuesday September 6, 2011! For those new to the Fairfield Public School System, there are two public schools (1 for K-3 and 1 for 4-6), a full day kindergarten program, bus transportation, before and after care for working parents and offer a hot lunch program. Fairfield is a Nut Free School District.
Grades kindergarten through third attend Fairfield's Adlai Stevenson School ("Stevenson") on Knoll Road. There is also a Pre-K4 program at Stevenson School and before school and after school care program for children working parents.
Grades four through six attend Fairfield's Winston Churchill School ("Churchill") on Fairfield Road. Children requiring before school or after school care are bussed to and from Stevenson School. To save a tree and make it easier for parents the Churchill school's supply list for grades 4-6 are posted on the Fairfield Public School District's Website.
Seventh through twelth grade attends the West Essex Regional School District. Fairfield is one of the four sending districts of the West Essex Regional School District, along with Essex Fells, Roseland and North Caldwell. The West Essex Regional School District was voted the 4th Top High School in Essex County by New Jersey Monthly in August, 2010.
While we still have a several weeks of summer left, the Fairfield New Jersey Public School District will start school on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. The complete Fairfield Public School District's Calendar for 2011-2012 school year can be found HERE.
Enjoy your summer and remember to leave the nuts at home! Read Fairfield's Nut Free Policy.
