I've never really liked my professional photos, and I've never had a logo. I always wanted a logo, but figured it would cost a small fortune to have one professionally made for me. Not many agents in our area have a logo, and the ones that I do see around here are typically pretty cheesy.
In the last year, I've hired a buyer's agent and a secretary/home stager, and gotten married. I figured it was time to revamp my marketing materials.
My first call was to Joshua Hill at Slingshot Creative. Josh is a graphic designer, specializing in web graphics, ad design and illustrations. I asked him to create a new logo for me. He asked me what I was looking for and sent me several examples. The logo I decided on was the very first logo he sent me. I went through the logos, making changes, etc., but kept going back to the very first one. Josh was incredibly patient, easy to work with, and very quick in his responses to me.
The next step was to have new professional photos made. I really wanted to incorporate my new team members in, but I didn't want something "ordinary." So....I called Jim Smith with JLS Studios here in Springfield, MO. I think Jim had the hardest part of the job. He had to work with three women, with different wardrobe styles, different opinions, and strong personalities. I think Jim can now add "professional cat herder" to his resume. The end result was beautiful, though!
Now, you probably think I spent a ton of money on all this. Ready to be shocked?
Yep. $375. That's all. Can you believe it? Makes me wonder why I didn't do it sooner. If you're looking to freshen up your branding, I'd highly recommend Slingshot Creative and JLS Studios.
