On an early morning stroll, or an evening out in the Palm Springs downtown area--- check out the the famous Palm Springs Walk of Stars!
The sidewalk along Palm Canyon Drive in downtown Palm Springs serves as the desert's home to plaques honoring Hollywood favorites and local personalities. You will find stars featuring Bob Hope, Harpo Marx, Marilyn Monroe, Chevy Chase, Frank Sinatra to the late President Gerald Ford embedded in the sidewalk, a permanent place of honor for those VIP's who lived and played in the Palm Springs resort area. Some of the local personalities include Mel Haber, Denise Dubarry, and "Mousie" Powell!
Directions: Begin at Alejo Road, then go south to Baristo Road. You can also find stars on Museum Drive in front of the Palm Springs Museum and on Tahquitz Canyon Way between Palm Canyon Drive and Indian Canyon Drive.
While you are out star-seeking... you may be surprised by all of the other fun places in downtown Palm Springs that you discover!
