California State Fair 2011

Only three days left of the California State Fair! Come enjoy the Big Fun at the California Exposition and State Fair July 14th - July 31st, 2011 in Sacramento, CA. So many great things to see and events to enjoy. Fireworks are presented at 10:00pm daily.

Hours: Noon - 10:00pm ~ Monday - Thursday
Hours: 10am -10:00pm ~ Friday - Sunday
Exhibit Buildings are open until 10:00pm
Kids Park is open noon - 10:00pm
Last Concert of the Fair: Sunday - July 31st, 2011 ~ $10.00 Featuring: Starship

Linda, the West Virginia State Fair starts August 12-24, and traffic is a nightmare in this small town. State fairs are always loads of fun.

Linda - When I was a kid, I lived not far from the Old State Fair grounds in Sacramento. I almost lived at the fair, each day during its annual run.

When they moved to CalExpo in the early 1960s, I went the first year, and was so disappointed, that I didn't return for a couple decades. However, today's State Fair has matured and grown, along with the trees and landscape. They provide a wonderful activity and event for families everywhere. And those golden bears in your top photo. . .When I was a kid, I sat on them when they were at the old fair grounds:-)
