I ran across this on one of my favorite web sites - http://www.boingboing.net - and felt like I had to share it. It's an amazing story of how a small group of people from the Great Whale Conservancy were able to save a young female humpback whale who had become entangled in fishnet. It's got an 8 minute run time, but I can promise you that every second is worth the time. Enjoy and be amazed!
Hi Dick, That was an awesome video and I had goose flesh feeling the same excitement as the animal was finally freed and then the excitement that it somehow knew to thank them with a wonderful show before saying goodbye. You were so right to blog this. And by sharing in something so many of us value, I met a new person. Well done Dick and nice to meet you!
That's a whale of a video. The Monterey Bay has been full of Humpbacks this year. They can be seen from the coast.
Hi Dick, what a beautiful video and bless those people for making the effort to save this beautiful mammal.
Awesome, Dick! I enjoyed watching the video, and was blown away by all the breaches the whale did!
That was amazing. And, I really thought that it was worth reblogging so that others can see this, too. Thanks, Dick.
Hi Ron - Thanks for the re-blog. A video like this just makes us feel really good - kind of like a kitten stuck in a tree times 1000.
Good morning Dick. Ron's reblog caught my attention and I must thank you for posting this wonderful video. A very good day indeed.
Kudo's to them, saw this as Ron reblogged but we know there are lots of people who care it is just not newsworthy by the medias standard of today
