Lots of talented people out of work especially in the construction field. I know of a builder that keeps his crew building steadily all year long because they have families and this developer accepts the responsibility of keeping a crew together and of course making a living. It is understood that every one works for less when faced with the prospect something versus nothing, but at least people are staying employed. Yes, lets find a way to keep everyone going until the going gets going...good one Little Ginny
Hi Ginny...congratulations on your feature...and way not. This home is a feature home and your post paints an awesome picture to would be Rhode Island home buyers.
David, i always promote small businesses...the ground swell for recovery looks like it has to happen there too. thanks
Barbara, thanks...real estate is a wonderful occupation when you treat it right!
Barbara -jo, hope yours is coming back too.
Scotti, many thanks...and please do one for your area too.
Andy, i do know that is hard competition...we have many Guatemalans here who are hired for landscaping at a low rate but others won't do the work...they do a great job. I can tell you all the workers here are U.S. guys & gals paying their taxes!
Richie, thank you my friend...i too know of builders who are excellent that now add decks to keep their crews employed...i reach out to these builders because they have the sense of community we need to foster here!
Hi Ginny, congrats on the feature. That looks like quite a house. Too bad the owners are accounted for, as it would look nice with your sign out from for sale.
Hi Ginny. Once again, your love for the community and it's resident's shines through. Great post. Looks like a fabulous home too. Nothing like the smell of new wood!
Fred, thank you so much!
Ed, you are too funny & thank you for making me laugh on the email
Cal, you are right about the cedar! best
That home in the picture definitely does not look like your run of the mill new construction house. I do agree that the trickle down effect of the subcontractors being busy is something that displays not only the builders having business but all of the people who work under them.
Building homes keeps so many people employed which helps infuse life into the local economy and facilitate continued recovery. Excellent post that received a well deserved feature. Well done Ginny.
Ginny,
Building homes creates so many jobs, and even after the home is completed. Great Post. Looks like a beautiful home!
Ginny, I wish New Construction in the 2.5 MM range was selling here, my husband would be busy! However, he bought another sub-division and he'll be building $500- $800 homes which have more of a market now. Hooray for him working, and then me getting 10 new listing within the next few years!
This is a great post from a dedicated North Kingstown Short Sale Agents! This is definitely good news for your area.
These homes will surely be a beautiful house for a family in the future. As an expert North Kingstown Short Sale Agents, many homebuyers will definitely find their dream homes with you as their realtor. Thanks for sharing this.
Eileen, thank you...builders employ many that keep the local economy well fused!
Anita, thanks and all are economies need this don't they?
Jimmy, it is a beautifully designed & built home.
Erica, the house never finishes without the great quality of the subs..
Ellen, well that range will do you well my friend...and he will be happier building and supporting the economy.
Katerina, building that employs so many for so long is positive..thanks
Bob, it is so good to share positive building posts as you know...have a great weekend!
Ginny- Beautiful house! And congrats on the feature. Building has bounced back in our area, too. There were a few years there when it wasn't so certain.
tHANKs Marcie, glad to see you back blogging...it is picking up but mainly on the higher end in my area...western Ri has some nice devlopments that are selling well.
Ginny-the more new starts, the quicker the recovery will be-new construction always leads the way.
Ginny, surprisingly, there is a lot of new construction in Franklin TN too. I count that as all good news.
What a gorgeous, classic New England home! Is it on the water? What's the owners current home like? What a shame they can't subdivide the property and sell it.
Tammie, that is wonderful to hear..best..
Nina, not on the water but a mile from it ...set on many acres and a stone's throw from town...i think they love the private setting since they've owned the land for awhile...
