Common and Fertile Ground in the Real Estate Community

Points are like whipped cream on a dessert, an extra reward on top of an already luscious treat.  The real treat, the real substance of ActiveRain is a place to find common and fertile ground for open and frank discussions on a myriad of real estate and non real estate topics...among other professionals in our industry.

For whatever reason, it is rare to find any of these conversations taking place in our own communities.  We are learning so much from each other by participating in each other's choice of topics that the very exposure to all of these ideas improves our performance as good real estate professionals in the field.

Where else can we go to find such freely shared advice on appraisals, staging, home inspections, closing pitfalls, the ever-changing world of home financing, ethics, showing tips, technological advice, the capricious natures of buyers and sellers, marketing and so much more?  And to make these discussions open and available to the public is priceless.  If NAR sponsored a billion dollars in public awareness ads, it would never come close to the true picture of real estate professionalism we display here on ActiveRain with each other...and with the public if they choose to participate.

Intermixed with the professional topics we cover are the incredibly personal and touching human nature stories we share with each other.  Nothing will point out to the public the depth of our ethics and how much we care about them and their properties quite like the breadth of personal AND professional articles they can find from us on ActiveRain and the kind, caring and polite manner in which we interact.

February 2011 was the launching point of my involvement with ActiveRain.  Since then I've rediscovered my love of writing, photography, hobbies long neglected and my intense interest in other people. I like the points, don't get me wrong - they appeal to my competitive side but they aren't the driving force for this activity.  My life, personal and professional, has truly been enriched by discovering this ActiveRain meeting place in the common and fertile ground of real estate .
