40 Comments on Speechless Sunday-The Art of Camouflage In The Sand
Cal-he was a tiny one compared to a few others in the colony. Cousins were delicious with Old Bay Seasoning.
Barbara-I'm avoiding any photos that would require standing in the water where alligators are lurking!
Kelly-his cousins and the hush puppies were tasty!
Michael-the Outer Banks seem to have a good supply if you look closely.
Deborah-you have to pay close attention but they do seem to have a way of just popping up and you have to look closely to see them.
Randy-never build an escape hole that is to big, otherwise the other guys can get in.
David-we went crabbing ourselves for the edible version but only caught ones that we had to throw back. Fortunately someone else caught the ones we could keep and eat.
Bliz-they don't seem to be very trusting...wonder why?
Susan-they are characters.
Hannah-helps to go on vacation and have time to play.
What a cute picture! Makes me long for some quiet time in a beach chair listening to the waves.
He only popped out to find his cousin they were going fishing today.
i hope you did not tell him where to find them
Great shot.
Enjoy the day
Chris Ann-didn't get to much quiet time on this beach trip but had loads of fun.
Don-unfortunately his cousins ended up on the dinner table :-)
Cindy....Great photo...I tried so hard to catch one of those this summer......Nice!
Hope you had a great day!---Rob
Go Vols!
Great shot. Can't wait to see the rest of the photos from the beach adventure.
Hi Cindy, That is a wonderful photo and you really great job capturing it to show the camouflage. I took a photo of new hummingbird baby and they are born with camouflage as well. When they are in tree, the look just like it in all sorts of colors that look like foliage.
Rob-perhaps if I had my crabbing net with me when I was on the beach I might have been able to catch one. But they are quick.
Pat-Will try not to make my AR blog a vacation photoblog.
William-Hummingbird's are another of nature's hard to capture on camera miracles.
