I love zoos, and especially the San Diego Zoo! The San Diego Zoo has a fabulous variety of animals to view and the habitats are all so well maintained. I also like that there are employees and volunteers located at some of the exhibits. They roam around teaching about the animals, explaining their behavior and giving you little tidbits of information about the individual animals.
One of my daughter's favorite exhibits is the koalas. We spent quite a few minutes watching them....sleep! Interestingly, koalas sleep approximately 23 hours a day. There were a couple that woke up long enough to re-arrange themselves, then drift right back off to sleep again.
