Seven Ponds Nature Center in Metamora MI (dryden twp) is keeping children and adults busy learning, hiking and all around enjoying the summer months with a variety of programs and opportunities. The 469 acre nature sanctuary is open throughout the week for visitors to walk or 
canoe, along with guided tours with naturalists.
Students will take a tour around the trails and learn about different ecosystems throughout the center and look at the plants, animals, water and rocks found in each one.
The Junior Naturalists program will focus on water, teaching students what is in the water, what surrounds it and what plants and animals make a home out of the local waters. The students will explore the seven ponds and also take a field trip to other wetlands.
Seven Ponds Nature Center, located at 3854 Crawford Rd, Dryden Twp, is open to visitors every week Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The trails are open to members from dawn until dusk every day. For more information about the nature center, go online to www.sevenponds.org
