Friday's Fotos - Alley Oop, and Over He Goes!

Newport Bay Kayaking

We were out at the bay the other day and watched someone trying to sit on a kayak. I've never seen someone have such a hard time though admittedly I've never seen exactly this type, but he never could get fully seated before over he went again.  My kids couldn't stop laughing.

Finally, his friend took over, got on and paddled off with no problem.

I've done kayaking before and it's not easy but I can't imagine falling into the water.  Hopefully they got in and had some fun.

I guess maybe the workout is getting back on and trying to sit still. Maybe it works your patience as well.

That's too funny, but I won't judge!  I've watched Kayaker's and boy does that sport look hard!  I have to say it's one I will be steering clear of!

This is a funny photo, but I definitely do relate with this person. I've had my own share of kayaking troubles in the past!

Bryan -  I've done a lot of kayaking, and this was slightly different than the usual sit on top which might have been the problem.

SaraMana - You're welcome.

Larry - It would have tried my patience.  He went over at least a half a dozen times before he quit.

Rebekah -  It's a sport I really enjoy, but I love being in and on the water. It was different than the ones I've used and looks like it was harder to sit on.

Cathy -  Costa Rica!  Lucky you!  The only issues I've had with kayaks had to do with trying to row together in a tandem.

Ted-  Perhaps, but he got in to the regular sit on top with no problem.
