Last month I tried to step out a bit...far harder than writing a check I must admit.  I am somewhat disappointed in myself that I haven't made it back to the bridge to visit the Tent people.  However, my partner in this (Lisa) has been faithful and goes nearly every week.  She always invites me...<guilt settles over me>....Cooler for the Tent People

Last week she said she was heading out to buy a cooler so they could keep their food cold and she would bring ice each week...I knew I could help there.  We had recently cleaned out our garage and found six coolers!

I went home that day and got a cooler and told her it would be at the office for her.  Paying it Forward is something that is always on my mind and I find inspiration in how many different ways Active Rainers move that mission forward. 

I met with a long time friend that when I think of her, I think of a commanding, strong individual.  She holds a high position in a local company.  She looked broken when I saw her...as we talked she told me about the difficulities in working with a particular individual.  I do believe I have a gift of discernment.  As I listened...her path became clear to me...while it was not to her.  She wished God would just sent her a postcard with her instructions...ah if only it were that easy (or hard because free will would become compromised).

I feel very fortunate these days (closed 13 transactionsin July); had that dreaded colonscopy (passed with flying colors); watching my daughters "make it" in the world and having a solid marriage.   I too sometimes wish God would send me a postcard...my efforts seem so small in the Pay it Forward category.  But, my ears and eyes are open...

Just keep doing what your doing girl...perhaps the tent people aren't supposed to be your ministry, especially if you don't have peace about it.

Great way to pay it forward and get rid of some extra coolers Cindy. Sounds like life is good in Indiana - 13 transactions, your children are doing well and you have a "solid" marriage - you're ahead of most people and smart enough to count your blessing which most people don't.
