I wish more people would take action to keep their pets safe in an emergency. My pets are members of the family and wouldn't get left behind.

Glad you took the time to blog about care and feeding of animals. In addition to natural disasters where animals are left to fend for themselves, we have a man-made disaster to deal with. It is not uncommon for foreclosed homeowners to leave their animals behind. Many rescue organizations have such cases of abandoned animals found at foreclosed homes. Truly sad!
