This and lots of other observations is what Henry David Thoreau wrote about while hanging out at Walden Pond. It is truly incredible how insightful Mr. Thoreau was. Just look around you at all of the people complaining. What are they complaining about? Everything! Their spouses, girlfriend, boyfriend, parents, kids, life, neighbors, dog, car, weather, day, month, year, birthdays, etc and the big one - their JOB. The quote is: Most men live quiet lives of desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them. That is so sad to think about. Going to work everyday and hating what they do. Going home everyday and hating their private lives. I consider myself so blessed to enjoy going to work every day and truly enjoying what I do. I get frustrated like everyone else but it passes. I have a great wife who has secured a place in heaven for having to put up with for 40+ years. Family, friends, outside interests, travel, hobbies. If I was any happier I would have to be twins.

Conrad....you said it all when you said you love what you do! So many people don't. And of course you have to have a great home life or the first doesn't matter.
Hope you have a great week!---Rob

Hello Conrad & Radcon the twin LOL,

Glas to hear you have found the "simple life". That's what I call it when we love what we do and don't get frustrated very much and it passes.

Good post.

Sometimes what we love to do won't pay the rent so we continue to lead lives of quiet desperation.  Love your parting line ... "If I was any happier, I'd have to be twins".
