The Sky is on Fire in Phoenix

During the summer months in Phoenix we're lucky to get monsoon storms!  With our higher 'dry heat' temperatures the evening rains cool things down and most folks are sitting outside watching the show. The storms usually roll in around towards the evening and this makes for incredible sunsets.  It is so amazing to watch the entire sky light up and deliver unbelievable colors.  I often say to myself - does it get any better than this?   And the answer is yes....just wait till tomorrow night! This shot was taken a few weeks ago overlooking the valley from our neighborhood.

Sunsets are meant to be shared.  Enjoy!

What a wonderful photo.  How did you fare during that huge dust storm a few weeks back?   I meant to ask about that long ago.

What a beautiful color to fill the sky.  Great picture should be in advertising to attract people and businesses to Phoenix.

WOW, Anna!  That is absolutely gorgeous!  I'm sure you'll have camera in-hand tonight too!  You must carry that with you even when heading outside for a relaxing evening to watch the sky there.

It’s wonderful to live in areas where you get nightly spectacular sunsets. I think this year in San Diego has had more spectacular sunsets than any year I can remember, and I’ve been here since 1988.

Anna, it's truly spectacular!  Knowing that it comes with a bit of rain makes me think at least it's not as hot there as it looks!
