When my marketing guru told me to join ActiveRain and start blogging, I said, “Huh?”

Blogging really works!
I started blogging on December 1, 2010.
Some time in early November, I Googled my name, Eric Michael, just to see where it shows up.
I showed up on the bottom of the 5th page or the top of the 6th, behind some musician and a guy with the same name that sells shoes.
So, like I said, I started blogging. Nothing big, just a couple of regular blogs and a bunch of diary-type blogs of what I'm doing daily for my Real Estate business.
Well, I was a little surprised at the results. I was in the middle of the 3rd page!
Amazing!
Just imagine where I'd be if I started blogging a couple years ago. A year ago. Even one month earlier.
If you're sitting on the fence (like I did for a LONG time), take my advice...
Start blogging! Just type whatever you want. It's gonna take a little time before you find your online "voice". I know I still haven't found mine, but I'm seeing results. And that's what counts.
Let me know if you have any advice, or would like to talk to me if you're thinking about getting started. I'm certainly not a Blogging Genius or anything, but I can show you how to get started.
I'm looking forward to moving up in the search engines, page by page.
In fact, I can't wait to rank higher than a guy who sells shoes.
