Take a ride out into the groves of Western Ft Pierce, Florida. If you have not had an opportunity to do this and live in Florida, by all means, please put it in your plans to visit.
Western St. Lucie County is full of beautiful equestrian and country homes. Trail riding is an enjoyed sport that many people gather around and ride together. There are many large and small barns that pop up between the large orange groves. It is almost like the Old West in the movies. Some roads are dirt and some have been paved. Horse lovers like the dirt roads to work their horses.
Besides the orange groves, one might see cattle and goats grazing in pastures. I have enjoyed seeing many Eagles perched on poles. They watch me as I pass and never move. Wild life and the country side goes together. Deer come and go in the early mornings and late day.
I traveled the out skirts of Western St. Lucie County just yesterday. Of course, summer is the time that the tropics cranks up. This means we have some beautiful cloud formations. It is almost like a canvas. IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL looking out over the farms with a magnificent blue sky and puffy white clouds.....so peaceful.
Western St. Lucie County has many estate lots available to build farms or homes. St. Lucie County is a very large county and extends almost to the city of Okeechobee. Yes, people are finding out about this area. Four lane highway constructions is developing everyday for more people. I hope the country side will remain beautiful. I would love for the younger generation to be able to view nature as I see it today.
