A Little About Lake Stevens:

Aquafest is the local annual summer time festival that has something for everyone (see schedule below). With food, events, and even a parade it’s sure that a good time will be had by all. You may even find time to check out some Lake Stevens homes for sale?

However, when it comes to daily life with the family, Lake Stevens schools consistently rank among the top ten for WashingtonState. There are even homes for sale within walking distance of most schools. The only other schools in our area to rank among the top ten are Mukilteo, which have a substantially higher cost of living.

The lake itself is obviously one of the biggest draws for folks considering homes for sale. Lake Stevens is about five miles across at its widest point which is plenty of room for all water sports, as well as some great fishing. There are two community beaches with boat launches as well. Davies beach on the South end and Community beach on the East in the lakes cove. The cove is great for trolling for trout and has a slalom course for skiers in the summer time. There are Lake Stevens homes for sale within walking distance of these locations as well.

Like free summer concerts?   North Cove Park on the North/East side of Lake Stevens offers free summer concerts right on the lake (see schedule below).

This park is in the original town on the back side of Lake Stevens. The police station, fire station, city hall, as well as various shopping and restaurants are also located here.

Prices for homes for sale are cheaper than you think. In fact, in the past they where priced higher on average than Everett. Though with all that’s happened in the housing market they are now cheaper on average. Homes for sale that sold for around $275,000 in 2007 are now around $175,000 to $185,000 for one in good shape.

In addition, there are Lake Stevens homes for sale that are located within the boundaries for the USDA zero down federal loan program (East of Highway 9 - see map).  With excellent interest rates, this is a great program for folks that want to lower their out of pocket expenses when buying a home.
