It's summer time and most anglers are out of their boats along the Occoquan River in Belmont Bay looking for the perfect spot to drop their line. For the wildlife in the area though finding a spot to positiion themselves is a bit easier. With the Occoquan Bay Wildlife Refuge adjoining the Belmont Bay Community we are able to watch Blue Heron, Ospey and Eagles on a daily basis.
Leah-and even better is the birds fly over to our neighborhood and hang out on the docks too.
Brabara Jo-maybe he was able to teleport himself from one location to another.

Kay-our Herons seem to be very patient and hang out for quite awhile on the rocks.
Gail-wish it wasn't so hot so I could spend a few hours sitting along the river watching all the activity.

Melissa-we are fortunate to have an abundance of Blue Heron, Osprey and Eagles where I live. Always something going on at the waterfront with that trio.
