A Review of Medallion Swimming Pools in Colonial Heights
My family and I just finished construction on our 18X36 in-ground, salt water system pool. I must say, it was certainly an undertaking, but one that I am happy that we did!
When we first decided that we wanted a pool, we researched several companies and received numerous quotes. The prices were all over the board. But, after speaking to some friends who had installed an in-ground pool in the Henrico County area, we decided to go the same path that they did: Medallion Pools.
I have to admit, I was a little "nervous" with going with Medallion Pools ONLY because they are the manufacturer and do not install the pools. As a consumer, you save a substantial amount of money by cutting out the middle man, but you must be willing to undertake the role of general contractor. This would be a daunting task EXCEPT Medallion Pools does supply you with a list of installers and that made the process easy - especially since our friends installer was still on the list!
After securing the permits from Henrico County (Medallion Pools helped us fill out the paperwork) and obtaining approval from our HOA, the installers came and within one week to the day, our pool was COMPLETE!

Now, we do still have some work to do such as dirt removal (this is the ONE step we failed to think about...dirt should be removed DURING the dig, not after!) and we plan on pavers or concrete to be poured around the perimeter, but are waiting until the spring as we were told there would be a lot of settlement.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience with Medallion Pools from Colonial Heights, Virginia and would like to thank the entire install team (the contractor, electrician, plumber, concrete pumper truck operator, water tanker supplier) for all of their hard work during some VERY hot Richmond heat!
