Google you are starting to piss me off!  Can't we just be friends?

Why does it have to be so complicated?  Can't I just be ME?  Why do I have to have multiple usernames and profiles?

I think it all started when Google bought out Blogspot/Blogger which was slightly annoying at the time.  It meant signing in with a new name and email address because someone was already using my email address (yes it was me!!!!) and honestly that was the beginning of the end of my blogging on Blogger.com

Then Google bought out YouTube eariler this year and that really sucked.  Same story... I can't be myself anymore, I have to create a new Google account just to log in to YouTube, because somebody is already using that email address (Hello - it's me again!!!!).  OK, YouTube, now if i just stay logged in.... I'm good.

Here comes Google+, the bright and shiny new star in the heavens.  Guess what?  I can't be logged into Google+ and YouTube at the same time.  Why not?  Because the person who is claiming to be me on Google isn't the same person who's claiming to be ME on YouTube.  Is that so bad?  I guess I can live with it.

Wait, Google+ has links to my Google calendar and Gmail - how nice to have everything in one place!  Hey the calendar works, but of course the Gmail isn't going to work until I log out and log back in as yet another me.  Which other me?  NO!!!  HELP!!!

I can't be the only one in this boat.... how about YOU?

I just want to be one username and one password so I can be logged in to all the Google sites at one time... PLEASE.

Update - why is it that I can be on any website and clidk the LIKE button and Facebook knows it's me, but when I want to +1 something I get the runaround from Google and have to log out and log back in?  Google - take a tip from FB please.

Yes Georgina, multiple log-ins and passwords are a pain, but we suppose the upside is that if someone finds a way to hijack your password, they would be able to get into all of your sites rather than just one.  You can't win.

Howard and Susan - I guess that's supposed to make me feel safe and secure, but it's a small consolation.  Thanks for weighing in.

And then . . . we have to remember all the bloody passwords which are weak, good, strong . . . funny post because you're not the only one noticing the little hiccups along the way.

Hi Georgina - The only way I've found through this continuing mess - and it's not just Google, my company has 5 diffrerent thingys I use, all with different log-ins - is Roboforms. It keeps track of all my log-ins and passwords, logs me in everywhere I need to go, and I only have to remember my master password. I've been using it for about a year and a half, without any problems. It doesn't really solve the underlying problem, just provides a good work-around.

Georgina, I feel your pain.  I have come to a point that my notebook containing all my passwords and user names is going into its second edition.

I wanted to join google plus but couldn't get an invitation.  In a year from now they will be bigger than facebook and won't give A S___.

Hi Georgina~  I have been out of touch as so many things are going on in my life.  I have not been invited to google plus and afraid I wouldn't have the time to figure it all out.  Too many passwords as it is!  Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier.  I appreciate it!

Georgina - I'm reading a lot from unhappy people just like you.  I guess it's a good thing I barely know how to turn on my computer, LOL.

Georgina - I have to agree, that is a royal pain in the rear end! One user name and password just makes sense to me!

I feel a bit of your frustration Georgina. I have been utilizing IGoogle for a while and had everything set up the way I like but when I switch to my new Google Apps account I have to sign out. Until I figure it out I will be staying away from Google Plus.

Thanks for all the feed back and comments.  I guess it's something we all have to deal with.  It would almost be easier to start from scratch, which isn't an option at this point in time with so much already invested.

It's funny. I don't think I realized how many different logins I had for my social media until I saw your blog. then I had to chuckle a little bit. It only seems to be a pain when I need to wipe my harddrive or I'm on another computer. Usually i jsut leave them saved so I never have to think about it. Try using Mozilla Firefox as your browser. You can save important bookmarks to your toolbar. Save your pw and tada!

Dominic - the problem isn't so much remembering passwords, but having to log out and log in again as another version of me.  Why is it that FB always knows it's me, no matter which email address I am logged in with online (on any website, not just FB), but when I want to 1+ something on a random website, Google tells me to log in?  I literally can't be logged in to both YouTube and Google+ at the same time, yet they are both owned by Google. WTF!?
