The Sideshow...
I met Dannyo a few weeks ago at a local restaurant. Danny's trademark is to perform his "magic" at his first and last table of his shift. I was impressed with Danny, his style and most importantly, his message. Earlier this week, Danny came into the studio and I recorded his message for all to enjoy. If you enjoyed it, pass it on ~ Thanks, Michael.
This movie is a little different than what I normally do. This movie was recorded with two cameras, one focused on the artist and the other on the table. Lighting was added along the sidewalls and overhead to add a subtle "flair" to the scene.
My first challenge was to find a "Carny" backdrop to key behind the artist. Using the powers of Photoshop, I pieced together what you see.
Synchronizing the video tracks was a little more challenging. I first had to detach the audio track from the inserted clips, align these with the main audio track, and then move the video track into alignment with its audio track. This audio track was then deleted.
The finishing touches included the "Carny" music, a free download from a "Royalty Free" website, the artist's stage name and a few minor tweaks here and there...
Fun little video Michael. Enjoyed it! Imagine being his first table of the day, at your first visit to the restaurant!
As you said a little long but with all you had to prepare to get the video that's why you do that and I don't
Great video Michael and I wish I was as happy and carefree as Danny - he loves what he does and it shows!
Michael, Nice work all the way around, both by the performer and you! Thanks :)
Good morning Michael,
Awesome!! Love Dannyo! He has a great persona and wow amazing tricks!! You did a great job with the video!
Must admit did not understand the steps taken to make the video, but enjoyed it just the same! Enjoy the day!
Good morning Michael, Dannyo's little side show is very interesting and entertaing. Nice job with the vid.
Good morning Michael: Enjoyed the video. It takes some one with ability to video this type of video and that person is Michael Thornton.
Michael, loved the editing on this...very smooth and perfect timing for when you needed a closeup to see his trick. Liked the backdrop, too. A lot of work--people don't realize until they do it!
good luck with the contest, friend.
Michael, this was really fun! Great message and entertaining. I had no idea just how much goes into putting together a video. I'm sure the only way to really understand it is to go through the entire process from beginning to end. Does your mind ever relax?
Great stuff my friend. You are turning into the Cecil B. DeMille of the Home Inspector world!
Fun video to watch Michael! It sounds like there was a lot of work that went into getting it to production.
Once more you show and share with us one of your many talents behind a lens. Enjoyed it!
