I spent a good amount of time at Lakewood Ranch the other day with my co-worker and a couple of clients touring Lakewood Ranch with Melanie Hameed, a Lakewood Ranch Community Specialist. Lakewood Ranch is a 48 sqare mile planned commuiity at the intersection of I-75 and University Parkway that has been in development since the mid 1990's.
It is one of the greenest communities in the State of Florida and all of the current builders are building to various standards of green. It is a very well planned and prospering community with schools both public and private, major shopping centers, a hospital, several major coorporate headquarters, its own Main Street with shops, restaurants and a movie theater, parks, fitness centers, jogging paths, and even a polo club, you name it.
It is also a major bright spot in new home construction. The various new home builders have sold over 200 new homes this year! One of the only areas in the entire state that can boast of that achievenment in today's real estate market.
It is no wonder. Lakewood Ranch is an ideal place to call home and the current value of the new homes is outstanding. Definitely a place to look to invest, a wonderul place to call home.
